State of Environment and Development
(SoED) |
The Sindh Programme, in collaboration
with the Planning and Development Department,
Government of Sindh, has recently published
the Sindh SoED which gives a comprehensive
picture of the environment and development
conditions of the province in its major sectors
ranging from Water Resources, Agriculture,
Education, Cultural Heritage and Industries
in Sindh. This unique publication is a collaborative
attempt to fill the information gap on the
current social, environment and development
conditions in the province. The Sindh SoED is
the product of various sector papers commissioned
by experts in their respective fields as well
as stakeholder workshops which served to highlight
the current issues as well as provided valid
recommendations for future development in these
wide ranging fields. The SoED Sindh is meant
to serve as a resource to policy makers, government
officials, academia and development professionals
working in the field of sustainable development
in Sindh.
